What is Two Factor Authentication?

You might be asking yourself what exactly is Two Factor Authentication, or 2FA in short. 2FA is the new standard for securing your digital logins. Traditionally you may have only had a username and password, which while secure (see our password guide here) can be compromised. 2FA adds an extra step in the login process by requiring a unique and randomly generated code to be entered when you login to your C&B Portal.

Some businesses support this with a physical device that generates the code for you, others utilise SMS to deliver you the one-time code, or you can use what is referred to as an Authenticator app.

At Caleb & Brown we prefer using the Google Authenticator App to enable 2FA with your associated account for its simplicity and reliability.
